Your safety is important to us.

We are working closely with the Scottish Government to ensure we are implementing the rules and guidelines with regards to social distancing and hygiene regulations.

We understand that it is an uncertain time, and it is important to us that you feel safe during your visit.

Read on to see what changes we have made to the park to reassure you before your visit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us here

What we're doing to keep you safe.

  • Our indoor areas will remain closed until government guidelines inform us that it is safe for them to resume. This means, there is no access to Play n Wild Adventure Barn, the gift shop, Stables Coffee Bar, or indoor seating at Roosters Snack Bar.

  • Roosters Snack Bar will be operating with a modified takeaway menu for visitors to eat at one of the many sheltered picnic areas in the park. Guests are still permitted to bring their own picnic if they wish to do so.

  • Our new booking system means that we are able to control and cap our crowd numbers more easily to avoid  being too busy and risking the social distancing guidelines.

  • Due to the nature of our business we already had a multitude of handwashing stations around the park, however we have also added many hands-free hand sanitising stations around our play areas and seating areas.

  • We have increased our staffing for our outdoor play areas to ensure that any surfaces that receive frequent hand contact will be cleaned on a regular basis.

  • We have increased our standard hygiene and cleaning practices. Some areas will be closed for brief periods to allow this.

  • We highly encourage our visitors to wear face masks and shields whilst visiting the park. Face masks are mandatory in the toilets, when ordering food, and in Little Critters Animal Barn.

  • We have installed safety screens at our till points to ensure minimal contact with staff members.

  • Ground markings will be present wherever there may be a queue to ensure customers stay the recommended 2m apart from other groups.

  • Our staff members will wear gloves for cash handling, although we highly recommend using contactless or card payments wherever possible.

  • We will be implementing one-way systems near queuing areas, entrances and exits, and also around the animal zone.

  • There will be additional signage across the park encouraging visitors to wash their hands and follow the guidelines provided.

Heads of Ayr Farm Park would like to stress that although we have taken preventative measures, it is the visitor's responsibility to follow the guidelines in place to keep themselves and their families safe whilst at the park. You are welcome to visit at your own risk, and we kindly ask that you respect the rules and regulations as well as keep your distance wherever possible from other visitors who are not in your group. We appreciate your understanding at this difficult and uncertain time.
